We want your first visit to feel easy. Here's what to expect, what to bring, and how to prep so we can deliver the best possible experience the moment you walk in.
After booking, you'll receive an intake form via email or text. Complete it before your appointment so we have time to plan your treatment around your skin history, medications, and goals.
This gives us time to greet you, walk you through your skin reading, and let you settle in. Your appointment time is your service time, not your arrival time.
For facial appointments, less makeup means more time for treatment. If you're coming straight from work, no problem — we'll remove it gently.
Stop retinoids and exfoliants 5-7 days before. If you're booked for a peel or strong treatment, your skin needs to be calm and intact when you arrive.
Avoid sun exposure. Sunburned or recently tanned skin can't be peeled, dermaplaned, or treated aggressively. If you've been in the sun, let us know.
Hydrate well the day before. Hydrated skin treats better and responds faster.
Skip waxing 5+ days before facials. Recently waxed skin is sensitive and can react to actives.
Eat lightly beforehand. A small snack 1-2 hours before is ideal. Avoid heavy meals right before lying face-down on a table.
Hydrate. Drink water throughout the day. Massage releases stored tension and toxins; hydration helps your body process both.
Communicate. Tell your therapist about injuries, pregnancies, surgeries, or areas to avoid. Your massage will be customized accordingly.
Skip the workout that morning. If you can. Heavy lifting before a massage can leave muscles overworked.
Avoid sun exposure for 48 hours. Skip retinoids and strong exfoliants for 3-5 days. Use a gentle cleanser and a barrier-supporting moisturizer. Your skin is doing the work of integrating the treatment for the next 5-7 days.
Use only the products your esthetician recommends. Avoid all sun exposure, including incidental. Don't pick at flaking skin. Apply SPF religiously. The peel keeps working for 7-14 days after your visit.
Drink water. Lots of it. Take a warm bath with Epsom salts if you have access. Walk gently if you feel sore. Avoid heavy workouts for 24 hours so your body can fully integrate the bodywork.
Avoid hot baths, tight clothing, and intense workouts for 24 hours. Use a soothing oil or aloe gel. Exfoliate gently 48 hours later to prevent ingrowns. We'll send you home with detailed aftercare.
No retinoids or exfoliants for 5 days. Skip sun exposure. Your skin is freshly exfoliated, so it's especially receptive to products — and especially vulnerable to sun damage. SPF is non-negotiable.
Don't shower for 8 hours (or 1 hour for Rapid). Wear loose dark clothing home. Pat dry, don't rub. Moisturize daily to extend your color. Avoid long hot showers and chlorine.
