Esthetician

Compensation based on experience & Expertise

Foundational Requirements (All levels)

  • Must hold a current California Esthetics License in good standing
  • Must adhere to all California State Board rules and safety protocols with precision
Growth Path: Entry-Level (Apprentice Esthetician Tier)

Ideal for newly licensed or under-experienced estheticians who are passionate, driven, and ready to learn.

APPRENTICE ESTHETICIAN MUST:

  • Shadow and assist Master Estheticians
  • Complete all Lemon & Honey protocol certifications within 90 days
  • Observe 20+ treatments and co-perform with trainer
  • Perform mock treatments for feedback before offering to clients
  • Demonstrate consistent growth in confidence, timing, and technique
  • Complete minimum hours in product knowledge quizzes and hands-on practice
  • Work under direct mentorship and receive biweekly performance reviews

     

Note: Apprentice estheticians will gradually offer services under discounted tier until certified to progress.

  • Punctual, organized, and consistent in time management and client care
  • Demonstrates personal grooming and hygiene to spa standards at all times
  • Completes daily treatment notes and client charts with accuracy

Lemon & Honey Signature Standard

  • Mastery and consistent execution of all Lemon & Honey Protocols
  • Upholds treatment room standards for cleanliness, warmth, and sensory detail
  • Performs every treatment with grounded presence, warmth, and intentional care
  • Offers product recommendations, home care guidance, and follow-up with confidence and integrity

Product Knowledge (must be studied, retained, and practiced)

    (Onboarding training provided; continued education expected.)

 

HOLISTIC & CLIENT EXPERIENCE
    • Ability to incorporate essential oils and breathwork into treatments
    • Comfortable recommending and performing add-ons (eye masks, scalp rituals, LED, etc.)
    • Understands seasonal client concerns and adjusts treatments accordingly

 

SCHEDULING + AVAILABILITY EXPECTATIONS

      • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and at least 3 shifts per week

      • Ideal candidates are open to 4–5 days/week with increased availability during peak seasons

Core Technical Skills (Required for Advanced Esthetician)

Confident and accurate Skin Analysis using the Lemon & Honey Skin Analysis System

  • Proficient in:
    • Dermaplaning
    • Extractions (manual + ultrasonic)
    • Enzyme + acid application with knowledge of layering and pH
    • LED Light Therapy
    • Gua Sha + Lymphatic Techniques
    • Advanced Mask Customization

Proficient in body treatments (back facials, full body exfoliations, and glow services)

DEVICE & SPECIALTY TREATMENTS

  • Microcurrent (Mini LFT & Advanced Lift)
  • Microdermabrasion
  • HydraFacial MD (including Perk Eye & Lip)

  • High Frequency

  • Ultrasonic Spatula

  • Oxygen Infusion

  • Hot and Cold Therapy (including thermal wands, cryo globes, and contrast temperature treatments)

WAXING & GROOMING SERVICES

  • Mastery in facial waxing (brows, lip, chin) with clean technique and symmetry

  • Lash Lift and Brow Laminations

  • Airbrush brow and Brow Henna applications

  • Confidence in full body waxing including bikini, Brazilian, legs, underarms, and back

  • Attention to client comfort and pre/post-care guidance

Daily Duties

  • Greet every guest with eye contact, warmth, and professionalism

  • Confirm appointments, check forms, and update notes in real time

  • Keep reception area clean, calm, and visually aligned with brand standards

  • Track retail stock and replenish as needed (before it’s empty)

  • Monitor client schedule, treatment room flow, and timing integrity

  • Process check-outs with accuracy—no double charges, no missed upsells

  • Encourage rebooking by referencing client goals and treatment timelines

  • Track reviews and gently prompt satisfied clients to leave feedback

  • Organize spa laundry flow, linens, and esthetician requests without being asked

Daily Duties

  • Review all client intake forms before session and update notes after

  • Provide customized massage sessions using spa-approved modalities:

    • Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Lymphatic, Cupping, Stretch

  • Explain what you’re doing and why—educating while building trust

  • Maintain clean, properly stocked treatment room

  • Turn room over promptly and neatly, following spa reset protocol

  • Track product usage and communicate supply needs

  • Engage with front desk and esthetic team for seamless flow

  • Support in rebooking efforts by recommending return timelines

  • Follow all Lemon & Honey sanitation and guest care standards

  • Provide charting and session notes same day, no exceptions

  • Report red flags, medical issues, or client discomfort discreetly

  • Maintain CAMTC license, CEUs, and continued education interest

We’re looking for Massage Therapists with an open schedule; holidays and weekends are busy days and are considered mandatory availability days.
