What should I wear to my spray tan appointment?
It's best to wear loose, dark clothing and flip flops after your appointment to protect your tan. For the actual spray session, you have two options: you can wear dark underwear or a swimsuit, or go nude to avoid tan lines. Choose whatever feels most comfortable for you!
How long will my spray tan last?
The duration of your spray tan depends on how dark you go. A lighter tan typically lasts about 5 days, while a darker one can last 7 to 10 days. To get the best results, exfoliate and remove any unwanted hair before your appointment, so the solution applies smoothly to your skin.
How often should I get a spray tan?
Most people schedule a spray tan every two weeks. This allows enough time for your previous tan to fade completely, and for you to exfoliate, shave, and moisturize before your next session.
Is spray tanning safer than sunbathing or tanning beds?
Yes! Unlike sunbathing and tanning beds, which expose you to harmful UV rays that can increase your risk of skin cancer, spray tans use DHA (dihydroxyacetone), a safe ingredient that reacts with your skin to create a tan. Can I shower immediately after my spray tan?
It’s best to wait at least 8-12 hours before showering to allow the spray tan solution to fully develop. When you do shower, use lukewarm water and avoid scrubbing your skin. Pat your skin dry with a towel instead of rubbing to help preserve the tan.
